Finance & Administration Support

• Assist with inputting monthly payments and receipts using QuickBooks. • Support the processing of invoice payments. • Assist with organisational banking, including internet banking, under supervision. • Help prepare monthly financial information for the Treasurer and Management Committee. • Support preparation of the annual budget. • Assist the management team with basic costings for funding applications.

Income, Pensions & Gift Aid

• Support the administration of the organisation’s pension scheme. • Assist with administering Gift Aid claims. • Support administration of the PDVS 200 Club. • Occasionally assist with collecting monies within the community, in line with agreed procedures.

Governance & Compliance

• Assist with maintaining records and completing annual returns for the Charity Commission and Companies House. • Support the organisation of the Annual General Meeting (AGM). • Assist with managing organisational memberships. • Attend meetings and training courses as agreed with the line manager.

Social Media & Website Support

• Support day-to-day updates to the organisation’s website. • Assist with creating, scheduling, and posting content across social media platforms. • Help promote services, events, fundraising activities, and campaigns. • Monitor basic engagement and share feedback with the management team.

General Administration

• Communicate professionally with staff, trustees, volunteers, partners, and external bodies. • Record, store, and manage information accurately and confidentially. • Undertake any other reasonable duties appropriate to the apprenticeship role.
30-37 hours per week
Essential: • Genuine interest in business administration and charity or community-based work. • Commitment to completing an apprenticeship qualification. • Willingness to learn and develop new skills. • Basic IT skills including email, Word, spreadsheets, and social media. • Good organisational skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication skills and professional approach. Desirable: • Experience in an office, voluntary, or customer-facing role. • Interest in finance or digital communications. • Awareness of confidentiality and professionalism.
Maths and English qualifications.
